Music for kids that adults can actually enjoy! On August 1, 2006, Verve Records released Go Baby Go, a new CD featuring jazz interpretations of classic children’s songs and more, performed by some of the hottest names in jazz including Sharon Jones (the Dap Kings), John Medeski (Medeski Martin and Wood), and Steven Bernstein (Sex Mob). Baby Loves Jazz is a great way to introduce jazz music to children. It uses many familar preschool tunes along with some jazz classics. "Baby Loves Jazz: Go Baby Go" is the debut CD album of children's music from The Verve Music Group and the first of a planned series of 'Baby Love' collections. The eighteen numbers comprising "Baby Loves Jazz' include some beloved and traditional songs of childhood with a jazzy new arrangement replete with energetic riffs and scats that will have kids 'grooving to the beat'. Other tunes are soothing jazz lullabies suitable for helping young listeners off to a nap time dreamland.
